The charming village of Abisko boasts spectacular scenery just north of the Arctic Circle, while the renowned Abisko National Park spreads out from beautiful Lake Tornetrask.

Framed by the neighbouring hills of Lapporten, this is the driest part of Sweden, giving the area a long summer hiking season with the incomparable northern lights attracting visitors over the winter.

In the middle of the aurora zone, a stay at the ICEHOTEL gives you a great chance to experience the northern lights in style! This unique hotel doubles as an art exhibition with ever-changing sculptures shaped out of ice and snow. Every winter, the ICEHOTEL is created in a new guise, made completely from the natural ice on the Torne River. Each suite is individually themed and hand carved by select artists from around the world specialising in a wide range of disciplines. In the morning you are awakened with warm lingonberry juice by the bed, followed by a sauna and a hot shower, private or in a shared area depending on your choice of suite, before eating breakfast.

Icehotel Experience: Stay at the world-famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, where you can sleep in uniquely sculpted rooms made entirely of ice and snow. The Icehotel offers a truly extraordinary experience, with rooms featuring intricate ice art and a constant temperature of -5°C to -8°C, ensuring a magical Arctic atmosphere.

Aurora Borealis Viewing: Witness the spectacular Northern Lights from the Icehotel’s remote location. With minimal light pollution and a clear view of the Arctic skies, the Icehotel is an ideal place to catch this breathtaking natural phenomenon. Enjoy nightly opportunities to see the Aurora Borealis in all its glory.

Snow and Ice Activities: Engage in a variety of exhilarating winter activities, including husky sledding, snowmobiling, and ice sculpting. Explore the stunning snowy landscapes around the Icehotel and experience the thrill of gliding through the Arctic wilderness on a sled or snowmobile.

 

  • Day 1 : Kiruna > Abisko


    Abisko is considered to be one of the last true wilderness areas and perhaps more known for its sightings of the magical northern lights. Disembark the train at Abisko and make your way to the mountain lodge, inhaling the unspoiled winter scenery on your stroll.

    Day 2 : Abisko


    Start the day with a husky safari, followed by an afternoon at leisure. In the evening chase the northern lights. Wrap up warm and listen to your guide talk about the auroras and the history of the Abisko National Park.

    Day 3 : Abisko


    Visit the Aurora Sky Station with a beautiful chairlift ride up to the top of Mount Nuolja.

    Day 4 : Abisko > ICEHOTEL


    After breakfast, you will take the train from Abisko to Kiruna and be transferred to the world-renowned ICEHOTEL. The rest of your day is at leisure in this unique and breathtaking area. Overnight in a warm room.

    Day 5 : ICEHOTEL


    Learn about the traditional Sami way of life on a guided reindeer safari. Tonight you will overnight at the ICEHOTEL in an ice room. The ice rooms are especially comfortable – you will get a good night’s sleep in minus 5 degrees. You sleep in thermal sleeping bags on a special bed built of snow and ice, covered with reindeer skins.

    Day 6 : ICEHOTEL > Kiruna


    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport.

  • Booking and Payments

    • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking.

    • Final Payment: The balance must be paid in full 90 days before the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your booking.

    Cancellations and Refunds

    • Cancellation by Client:

    • More than 90 days before departure: Loss of deposit.

    • 30-90 days before departure: 65% of the total tour cost.

    • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the total tour cost.

    • Cancellation by Company: We reserve the right to cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

    • Changes to Itinerary

    • Flexibility Required: Weather and road conditions may necessitate changes to the planned route and itinerary. Flexibility is essential.

    • Substitutions: We reserve the right to substitute accommodations and services of similar standard when necessary.

    Travel Insurance

    • Mandatory: Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal injury, and emergency evacuation is mandatory for all participants.

    • Proof Required: Proof of insurance must be provided before the tour begins.

    Health and Safety

    • Fitness Level: A reasonable level of fitness is required for participation in the activities outlined in the tour itinerary.

    • Medical Conditions: Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of booking.

    Liability

    • Responsibility: The company will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property that occurs during the tour.

    • Third-Party Services: The company is not responsible for the actions or omissions of third-party providers, such as airlines or accommodation services.

    Visas and Documentation

    • Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the return date.

    • Visas: Obtaining necessary visas and travel documents is the responsibility of the participant.

    Conduct

    • Respect for Culture: Participants are expected to respect local customs and cultures.

    • Behavior: Disruptive or harmful behavior may result in the participant being asked to leave the tour, with no refund provided.

    Complaints

    • Immediate Reporting: Any complaints should be reported immediately to the tour leader to allow for a timely resolution.

    • Post-Tour Complaints: Complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the tour's conclusion.
